5 Delicious Recipes to Keep You Warm

The crisp winter air can be refreshing but it sure does nothing to keep you from freezing. A nice hot mug of your favorite winter beverage can get the defrosting process started but to really warm yourself up we think a hearty meal is the way to go. We’ve collected five of our favorite recipes from the Better Homes and Garden’s magazine to keep your mind off the chilly weather.

1. Broccoli-Cheese Soup

A true classic and quick to make, this recipe marries the two in a whole new way. In just twenty five minutes you and your family can enjoy the creamy taste of broccoli and cheese. We absolutely recommend doing the bread bowl method mentioned in the recipe, although you can keep the bread on the side.

2. Classic Pot Roast

Another traditional recipe and a must have in the winter time. There is nothing quite like a good pot roast to fill the house with a delicious aroma and warm the mood. This recipe is great for parents who don’t have time to stand over the stove. All you have to do is put it together, leave it to cook, and come back to it when you’re ready to eat a delicious meal. A nice hearty roast will fill up your stomachs and keep you warm.

3. Thai Curry

If you’re getting bored of the same recipes day in and day out we recommend you try this curry recipe.  The recipe is fully customizable, though yellow curry with chicken is our favorite. The spice levels are up to your preference but regardless of how hot you want it, the spices are sure to keep you warmed up. It can be served over rice, with bread, or on it’s own.

4. Moroccan Chicken and Cauliflower Stew

Another dish full of spices, this stew is beautifully aromatic and delicious. After you have all the ingredients prepped you can leave it to cook on its own and come back when you’re ready to feast. It can be served over couscous or eaten alone. Either way it is a mouth watering experience.
